1998 was a big year for me, and Jen threw me a great surprise birthday party. There were five tables of guests in blue clothes, and  Shime's wife baked me this awesome cake.

Each Halloween, the monks on Mt. Washington throw a huge Halloween party for the community. They carve several dozen pumpkins, consisting not only of scary faces, but also superheroes, palm trees, and  Japanese art...but never of any living person.  

Imagine my surprise when I found myself immortalized in fruit!

When I'm not working on music, I work for my church. This is a temple I helped build in Pacific Palisades, in the early 90's.
